Fishing Summary & Analysis
Fishing is absolutely on fire at Marina Pez Vela! This week’s report shows incredible numbers: offshore, there were 737 sailfish releases, 132 tuna, and 10 blue marlin, while inshore action featured 219 jacks and 136 roosterfish.
The excitement continued with the Sailfish Slam tournament, where 33 teams competed across three divisions. Huge congratulations to the champions: Real Texans (36 & under), Frenzy (non-sonar), and RumRunner (sonar).
Beyond the competition, the true heart of the fishing community shone through when team “Lights Out” won the 50/50 charity jackpot and immediately donated the entire prize to the foundation. It was a powerful display of character and generosity that highlights what the “fishing family” is all about. With the IGFA Open starting this week, there is no better time to get out on the water and join the fun. Don’t miss out—the fishing is great and the community is even better!
