Fishing Summary & Analysis
Fishing is absolutely booming at Marina Pez Vela! Jerry reports an incredible week in Quepos, Costa Rica, with non-stop action both inshore and offshore.
If you’re looking for a delicious “catch and cook” experience, the inshore waters recently delivered 13 snappers and 7 jacks, alongside 25 total releases. Plus, the local snook bite is officially starting to heat up, making it the perfect time for inshore enthusiasts to head down to the coast.
The offshore scene is even more legendary right now. The fleet saw a staggering 340 dorado and 121 yellowfin tuna, alongside 63 sailfish and 4 majestic blue marlin releases. Whether you call them mahi-mahi or dorado, they are definitely out there and ready for action!
Ready to join the fun? The Tuna Thunder tournament kicks off this Saturday. It’s a fantastic, inclusive event where families and beginners can compete without needing any prior experience. The marina team is standing by to help you book a charter and get you out on the water for the catch of a lifetime.
