Fishing Summary & Analysis
It’s been an absolutely incredible week of fishing at Marina Pez Vela! Jerry is back with some staggering numbers that prove Costa Rica is the place to be for any angler.
Starting inshore, the action has been “off the charts.” The community celebrated an impressive 199 roosterfish releases, along with 75 snapper, 78 jacks, and even some elusive snook.
Moving offshore, the sailfish are truly stealing the show with a massive 742 releases! The bite just keeps getting better, supplemented by seven blue marlin releases and a solid haul of 70 yellowfin tuna and 29 mahi.
A key highlight of these reports is the commitment to conservation: all billfish are strictly catch and release, ensuring these magnificent creatures “swim for another day.”
The excitement reaches a fever pitch this week as the marina celebrates Tournament Week! This Saturday features the Rooster Rodeo, complete with live music and a festive atmosphere. It’s the perfect time to head down, join the community, and see who can “lasso” the biggest roosterfish of the bunch. See you at the rodeo!
